Four BioFlo III fermenters are available for process development and optimisation with a working volume range between 0.3 and 1L. They are microprocessor controlled for pH, dissolved oxygen, temperature, agitation, antifoam and nutrient feed control. The units are also connected to a remote PC running AFS Biocommand for data logging and remote process control. The vessels can be sparged with a range of gases to enable high oxygen requiring cultures to be performed as well as running under anaerobic conditions. The BioFlo's can be set-up to run in batch, fed-batch and chemostat configuration.
