国内最早研究生物信息学的交叉学科研究组-江寿平研究组
 该组由数,理,化,生,计算机科学和工科人员组成, 于七十年代,首先应用计算机开展了蛋白质和核酸分子的二和三级结构和功能的预测,序列分析和处理, 摺叠和相互作用等的研究. 提出了一些新的和改进的生物大分子预测和分析方法,编写了国内首批的生物大分子的二和三级结构预测程序,序列数据分析,比较和处理程序,相互作用势能法等软件.是唯一仝时开展蛋白,核酸和软件研究的研究组.在计算生物学和生物信息学做了大量的研究,开拓了我国生物信息学这一领域.
在刘次全主编:"量子生物学及其应用"中,引用该组1976-1987年在国内外杂志上发表这领域论文40多篇.
1978-1987培养了国内最早的几个生物信息学硕士.
