Postdoctoral position available for outstanding candidate with expertise in cell and molecular biology, genetics (mice, C. elegans, or drosophila), or neuroscience. The focus of our research is to investigate the molecular basis of dopamine neuron regulation. We use two complementary approaches: (1) we study the transcriptional and post-transcriptional regulation of these cells, with particular emphasis on the role of miRNA (Science 317, 1220 [2007]); (2) we study the normal and pathological function of Parkinson's disease genes including LRRK2 (Neuron 52, 587 [2006]).
