RNAi has emerged as one of the most promising developments in modern biology. Although the underlying mechanisms are not yet fully understood, considerable effort is underway to employ the gene silencing properties of the technique in drug discovery. A new approach integrates several functional steps required for RNAi research including sequence design, production of RNAi libraries and screening for efficacy.
